No, Sutter Physicians Alliance is not an HMO or a health plan. We are a community of doctors, hospitals and medical professionals with an 80-year history of care in your community. Our physicians and hospitals accept most major health plans.
How do I choose Sutter Physicians Alliance?
It's simple.
- Choose the health plan (Aetna Blue Cross, Blue Shield, Cigna, Health Net, PacifiCare, United Healthcare and other PPO plans) that's right for you and your family. See covered health plans for the most current health plan information.
- Choose a doctor or medical group who is associated with Sutter Physicians Alliance. You can find them on this web site or by calling 1-800-4-SUTTER (1-800-478-8837).
- Complete and turn in your health plan's enrollment form, including the name of the doctor you've selected.
